Who am I and why am I asking for money?
Susana M Vega, RN, BSN. A nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, whipped keeper of two furry "children" and sporadic volunteer (over the years) at House of Ruth Maryland and Adelante Familia. I will be 30 years old on June 18 and felt the need to organize and attempt some massive fundraising in lieu of the typical party. Violence against women has long been on my radar and it has gone on long enough. Time to change the world, folks.
No one is making me do this (though they know I am doing it! :). I am not affiliated with anyone. This is completely of my own accord, time, and effort (along with some wonderful supportive friends).
However.
I cannot do it alone!
So if you know me and love me, please do join me. Even if you don't, no matter. Come, hand over your money, and dance all night under the stars. Bring some friends and your generous spirit.
This world is in need of some love.
